Pac-Man is the protagonist of the Pac-Man series, and the main character in Here comes Pacman. He is Namco's famed mascot and was created by Toru Iwatani. Since his first appearance in 1980, Pac-Man has become a legendary video game icon and is one of the most recognizable video game characters in the world. In recent years however, he has turned to drugs and is currently struggling with his crack addiction.

History Edit

Pac-Man was created by Toru Iwatani, and first appeared in the video game Pac-Man. The game became a smash hit, and was eventually awarded the title "Most Successful Coin-Operated Game" by Guinness World Records. This propelled Pac-Man, the titular character, to stardom. He would later meet Ms. Pac-Man and have a son, named Baby Pac. However, his good luck would not last. After the cancellation of many Pac-Man games in 2005 and 2006 and the stagnation of the Pac-Man series in general, he started to be forgotten in the video game world. He would eventually be fired from his job at Namco, and to add insult to injury, he and Ms. Pac-Man later divorced after he caught Ms. Pac-Man secretly dating Inky. He could not find a job, and lived on the streets for many years. He later turned to crack cocaine, and is still battling his addiction.

Trivia Edit

  • Pac-Man was originally going to be named Puck-Man, but his name was changed out of fear of his name being vandalized on arcade cabinets to spell a profane word, which is ironic considering his use of many profane words in the film Here comes Pacman.
